ABOUT

My name is Royce Rich and I am a classically-trained concert violinist & recording artist in Pop, R&B and classical film-score soundtrack music. I am currently based in Toronto, Ontario.

In May 2024, I co-produced and recorded two trap-hip-hop violin tracks entitled “Summer Breeze” and “Summer Heat”, which aired on CBC North by Northwest Radio: https://youtu.be/W7pIyKvQQ5w?si=JnyXoB8DBZF0dOSc

In July 2021, CBC Music listed me for their “Top 30 Under 30 Hot Musicians” for my self-produced debut studio album entitled “Short Stories”

I would love to record string stems / string arrangements for your up-coming song or track! I enjoy recording for pop, R&B and classical music projects.
Although I do prefer to play off of composed musical scores, I do have perfect-pitch and can play melodies / harmonies by ear.

I have been performing onstage for 17 years, and have enjoyed performing as both a solo artist and collaborative musician around the USA, Italy, and Germany.
As of this past summer, I completed my formal performance education training at The Glenn Gould School of The Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto.

I am reachable via a DM through my gram (roycerichmusical), as well as via e-mail (roycethemusician)

Thank you very much for your time and I look forward to collaborating with you on your music soon!

EQUIPMENT

When I record remotely, I utilize the Shure MV88+ Microphone for recording and podcasting.

When I am asked to record in the studio, we utilize an array for boom microphones and amplification, dependant on the project at hand and the musical genre I am recording.
