Sacha Nagy is a professional drummer and teacher from Ottawa, ON. He has a Bachelor of Music degree from Carleton University under the direction of acclaimed teachers such as Lorne Kelly (Sneezy Waters, Mondo Condo), T. Bruce Wittet (Tara Holloway, Wayne Eagles) and Paul Delong (Kim Mitchell, Lawarence Gowan). He also holds a Bachelor of Education from the University of Ottawa. He gives lessons in both french and english and prides himself as a flexible and engaging teacher. He is drummer is comfortable playing and teaching many different styles of music including Jazz, Blues, Funk, Hip-Hop, Latin, Dubstep, Drum and Bass and many more
He has performed hundreds of gigs around Ottawa and across Canada as a hired sideman or with his 8 piece hip-hop/funk band BlakDenim. He has played countless festivals across Canada including several performances at the Ottawa Bluesfest, Le Festival D'ete de Quebec, Le Festival Acadien de Caraquet, La grande veiller, The Hot and Spicy Food Festival, Glowfair and many more. He has had the pleasure of opening for internationally acclaimed acts such as Charli 2na (of Jurassic 5), Ashley Mcisaac, Charles Bradley and Trombone Shorty.
