I am a pro musician and teacher and play violin/fiddle, viola, 'cello and Nyckelharpa mostly. I'm classically trained and have a music degree in jazz/popular music from Middlesex University, London, UK. I am excellent at improvising and fiddle music.
I have experience playing with orchestras and rock bands, ceilidhs and gypsy jazz groups, quartets and singer/songwriters, with dancers and theatres. I run a regular Irish session and teach privately. I am an excellent reader of music and charts, and have great ears for learning that way. I have played on over 50 albums for other people, I love subbing for other musicians and I'm always happy for a challenge. So if you're recording your album and want real strings, that's what I do - and I can do it at home and email the tracks back to you (or come to your studio).
