saydiemichelle got its start in early 2008 when Savannah Johnston, Emerson Baxter and Joseph Krief decided to pickup the pieces from their previous band Famous Last Words. Having been on hiatus from music for over a year, the three regrouped and decided to starts fresh, with a new singer, drummer and most importantly, a new, more polished sound.

After months of searching for the missing pieces, They stumbled onto an ad on craiglist from a young drummer looking for a band, that drummer was Matt Klopot. A week after exchanging E-mails, the threesome met Matt at a seedy rehearsal space for an audition. It only took a few hours of jamming for the band to decide that Matt was who they wanted to be their back bone.

Soon after accepting, Matt took over the business end of the band, as well as keeping the beat, and went to work searching for a front man. After many auditions that just didn't quite fit, Matt received a blast from his past when a singer who had shared a stage with him years earlier contacted the band about auditioning. Dan Manina came out and blew the band away with his serene melodies and his blistering scream. After jumping through some hoops to appease the band, Dan was asked to join, and saydiemichelle was complete.

With the bands influences ranging from emo to hardcore, from punk to metal, saydiemichelle focuses on making the music they love and cant wait to share it with crowds across canada.

Gearing up for the end of 2008 and beginning of 2009, saydiemichelle plans to paint the town red with their original brand of music, dubbed 'heavy punky emo'.
