ABOUT

Hello (hopefully) future band-mates!
My name is Sebastian, Seb, or Bastian, whatever you wanna call me. Been singing professionally my whole life, outside the past couple of years. Grew up in the church, singing in the choir, sang in musicals, etc., but my real love is what happens behind the scenes—making music with people who love to make music. Although I play a little guitar, it really only is a little, and vocals are by far my strong suit.

Influences

Gospel, R&B, Pop, Alternative**, Rock, Indie, Blues, you name it…just not a country fan. Although I can sing *over 4 octaves (comfortably), have classical training, and have mostly done musical theatre professionally, I love to listen and make music by/similar to Jeff Buckley, Lana Del Rey, Amy Winehouse, Ren, Janis Joplin, and more. I’d say my voice is like a Jeff Buckley mixed with Whitney Houston and Barbra Streisand. I know, they’re remarkably different, and truly are the greatest in their own rite…but when you practice for years on end to match certain vocal capabilities, and happen to actually be be able to sing, you’re bound to start picking up their vocal tones and then some!
