Band to Join, Lead Guitar, Bass Guitar, Drums, Other Percussion, Keyboard, Piano.ABOUT
I'm a self-taught musician who has been writing and recording in an echo chamber for many years now. I've never had a lot of luck finding other musicians on the same wavelength as me, so I figured I'd give this website a shot.
I try to divide my time between rhythm and lead guitar equally when I can. I will never be a shred guitarist, but I have no real desire to be one either. I absolutely adore hammer-ons and pull-offs, and try to incorporate them into both my rhythm and lead guitar playing whenever I can.
I'd love to meet musicians who are into the more obscure subgenres of rock. There's certain genres, such as shoegaze and post-rock, that I just can't do justice solo.
Due to health reasons, I'd prefer online collaboration as opposed to collaboration in person at this time. However, I'd be open to meeting and jamming in person if I feel there's a good amount of musical chemistry.

Influences
I'm mostly influenced by modern progressive bands, but I also enjoy the many sides of rock and it's myriad of subgenres. I'll list some of my favourites below:
Long-term: Porcupine Tree, Anathema, Pure Reason Revolution, Oceansize, Portugal. The Man, Queens of the Stone Age, *shels, Mono, Katatonia, Mew, Alice in Chains, Type O Negative, dredg, Kaddisfly, Devin Townsend, Cult of Luna, School of Seven Bells, Opeth, Truckfighters, Silversun Pickups, Soundgarden
Recent: Sigur Rós, The Hiromi Trio Project, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Black Moth Super Rainbow, Ride, Leprous, Caligula's Horse, Vennart, Mogwai, Caspian, The Twilight Sad, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Yamantaka // Sonic Titan, My Vitriol, Haken, Foals, Tame Impala, Melody's Echo Chamber
I used to mainly listen to metal music, but my heart just isn't in the genre anymore. It takes a truly exceptional metal band to catch my interest these days. I've also been getting a lot more into jazz as a whole over the past few years, but it's not a genre I think I could ever wrap my head around writing and performing (due to knowing next to nothing about music theory).
