Band to Join.

ABOUT

I am a career Bass Player recently relocated to St Catharines after 20 years in Toronto. Originally I come from Sydney Nova Scotia. I have extensive live experience and have done some studio work as well. All my gear is solid for the road and my travel papers are all in order.

I am looking to join with a working band - the best fit would be a full time pro Hard Rock/Heavy Metal band that really likes The Road. I have played many styles of music at various times and I am a strong reader so I am also interested in casual dates and assuming I'm not committed elsewhere, I have no objection to short notice. Some really memorable Saturday night gigs started with a phone call at dinnertime.

Also, Big Bands and playing in the pit for theatre productions. Have always enjoyed being a part of a big production with lots of people for some reason I can't adequately explain.

Always an adventure, and if Martha Stewart can be believed, "That's a good thing." I like to think so.

Biggest 3: Rocco, Jaco, and Billy. Lots of others in no particular order include: Geezer Butler, Steve Harris, Geddy Lee, Ray Brown, Skip Beckwith, Dave Young, John Entwistle, and Spider Sinnaeve.

Lately I've been studying seriously Billy Sheehan's stuff. I don't so much wish to duplicate his style (you can find any number of his clones on youtube) but he has developed awesome technical skill and has put a lot of thought into gear and setup as well. Also, he seems quite willing and happy to share what he's learned.
