SEEKING
Band to Join, Vocalist, Rhythm Guitar, Lead Guitar, Bass Guitar.ABOUT
I was busy as a substitute drummer in the late 70s and most of the 80s - early 90s. I played a good number of styles convincingly and I was well respected for my dependability/professionalism. Worked everywhere from the Cecil to the Jubilee and Jack Singer. Then business and family etc. got in the way of drums. Now I am on the comeback trail practicing 10 - 20 hours a week and getting back to my prime. I would like a performance opportunity to make my hard work seem more worthwhile and purposeful. I have no patience for shoe gazing non-energetic dad bands that seem to exist more for their own social purposes. I tend to gravitate towards the harder / more aggressive / semi-alternative forms of rock, prog, funk, jazziish. I would prefer a mix of originals and covers with our own twist on the covers allowing creativity and individual expression.

EQUIPMENT
I have 4 acoustic kits, a dozen or so snare drums, 30 plus cymbals, loads of ethnic percussion, and extensive electronics, mics and p.a. equipment. I bring what’s right for the situation. I favour a hybrid of acoustic drum kit and intelligent/unique electronic percussion that I trigger or lloop. I will not play an electronic drum kit as such live. I always use in ears whether it’s practice or performing.
