ABOUT
Hey, my name is Damien Hicks. I’ve been a metal vocalist for over 15 years employing many different vocal styles for many different genres of metal. My primary vocal style is a Death metal guttural but I am able to do false chords for Deathcore and metalcore styles. I am currently searching for a band that is focused more on studio work with a small amount of live performances as my work schedule is quite intense. I can be away from home for a month at a time but am constantly writing/practicing while away and can record most songs within 3 hrs while home. I am very open to constructive criticism when it comes to vocal performances in the booth and while I can easily record on my own would prefer to record along side others.
Let’s Find out if I’m the right match for you with these 5 topics that should be addressed:
1. If you don’t believe in short form content (tik tik, gram, YouTube shorts, etc) or any other content out side of recordings, than I am not your guy
2. If you need someone to attend every single jam session, then I am not your guy. I can provide vocal tracks and click to help you jam while I am away but I will not always be available due to my work schedule. How ever I will always be available for a jam session when I am home and before shows.
3. If you believe playing live is more important than producing content, then I am not your guy. I am a studio artist and am looking to play maybe 5 - 6 shows a year.
4. I am not looking to fulfill a band leader position. I don’t want the responsibility of chasing band members for their share of the work. If you’re looking for a babysitter, than I am not your guy. I will always work with everyone and do my share by our scheduled deadlines so long as those deadlines are discussed and agreed upon by everyone.
5. If you don’t think you need to spend money on music production and art, then I am not your guy. Unless you are skilled in music production videography, and art, to which you may be, I don’t take kindly to being apart of work that was half assed. This is the biggest problem I find with most bands I have joined. Put in the effort, put in the $$$, and it will show in the end.
Thanks for taking the time to check me out.
