Hi! We are three guys (guitarist, bassist and drummer) in our 30s looking for a singer to help complete a band. The ability to play another instrument is an added bonus.
We originally came together when we were tasked to play a government Christmas party (we are all members of the same government section). Since then we've played each year (2010-2013), but we haven't had much stability in the way of singers, with three different singers coming out in those four years. We've also done a couple of open mic nights at a local establishment.
Our goals are, first and foremost, to have fun; we aim to practice, in the beginning, once every couple of weeks, progressing to once a week and then doing some open mic nights, building up to the annual Christmas party and doing some gigs.
We have two areas we can practice, one in the east end and one in the west end, so we are pretty flexible in that regard.
We've played several different genres; ranging from AC/DC and KISS, Joan Jett and Four Non Blondes, to Metric and No Doubt. Because we haven't had much stability in our singer position, doing our own stuff has been difficult; but we definitely want to move in that direction.
We have aimed to have 16-24 songs ready for our annual Christmas party, but would like to move beyond just that one gig and expand our experiences.
