Hey there,
Long time singer, 10 years of acoustic/electric guitar (mostly rhythm), always been a side passion but we had a grunge/alt rock band back in Quebec where I played rhythm guitar/vocalist (and backvocals/a bit of lead guitar when switching with one other member) with 2 albums under our belt and a couple shows.
After a long hiatus, I'm back to my roots on acoustic and recorded some up to date covers that you can find here, casually recording my singing while playing guitar :

and also here for older stuff :

For those interested, our old grunge/alt rock band is here (but I am departing a bit from that) : https://open.spotify.com/artist/4fByZ3gse0wmea8Lo9kHAu
I'll be honest, I'm just testing the waters here, trying to meet people I can vibe with, with a bit of an open mind (still got to be in the same area of musical affinity of course).
I think I want to focus more on my singing and less on my guitar playing this time around? (but I can and will play along some rhythm if needed for songs)
And I would like to explore a context that fits more my voice, so less of an heavy grunge sound (I wish I had what it takes but I find my voice goes better with smoother soundscapes, I don't have the raw/loud energy for it, or something), and more of a gentler Alt Rock vibe, acoustic or electro (see influences and my covers to get an idea).
Open to join/form a band, cover and/or compositions for sure, and at least meeting with people with common interests!
Thank you for reading :)

Influences
Some bands closer to my recent shift in musical/vocal goals :
Radiohead, Failure, Bjork, Nine Inch Nails (the softer parts), Drab Majesty, Depeche Mode, Beck, Bush (softer parts), Fleet Foxes, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Garbage, Veruca Salt, a lot of indie rock/alt rock/electro/folk bands
Examples of influences I love but gave up trying to emulate with my voice too much (hence the shift in direction):
Nirvana, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, The Distillers, Hole, Black Sabbath, heavier alt rock/metal bands
It's a very narrow view of my influences, a lot of alt-rock/indie rock/shoegaze/dreampop/darkwave/folk/electro
