I've been spending the past year trying to put together a metal band in my area. My instrument will be drums, even though I can play guitar very well and have all the gear I would need. As a drummer I'll be able to contribute more to songwriting. If you're a metal shredder, drop me a line, writing songs will be easy.
Not that striving to fit into a genre is important, but then again it can make writing songs easy if used correctly. Anyway, I'd like the band to sound Black metal, mixed with Viking metal mixed with Death metal. There's a ton of "not quite black metal," "not quite death metal" bands out there and they're my favourite.
