My name is Steve Northover. I am the rhythm guitarist in "Butterflies and Zebras" and "Dayton Brock". Both bands are currently on hiatus so I am looking for someone around my age that would like to create some interesting music. I do not expect to be the next greatest thing but that doesn't mean I'm not interested in writing and performing. I am also a lyricist.
If you want to contact me, I am steve_northover who is easily found at "mail that is hot" followed by the "dot com" bubble.

Here are some sample lyrics/poems:
Fatherless
Pawn moves forward, bishop back,
queen on her own color,
forward motion, takes the place,
of life, but only smaller
Pin me down, on starless nights,
and fork me with the options,
discover that, which lies behind,
the Queen and her adoptions
The King is weak, he cannot speak,
overload the pieces,
don't be late, for smothered mate,
or sacrifice his thesis
Forced to move, we can't take back,
we try to make the swindle,
isolate the handicap,
and watch our forces dwindle
Snakes and Ladders
The Gods that torture mortals,
and grind them in the dust,
the few and far between,
are toying with our trust
Some knights without their ladies,
are wolves within the fold,
while driving their Mercedes,
the toys they bought and sold
The backwards snakes and ladders,
coiled tight to strike with fire,
obsessed with earthly matters,
are clothed in sheep's attire

Influences
There are too many to list. I listen to folk, jazz, rock, reggae, Indian/Arabic, classical and more. I am open to any style, but the popular music I generally like is usually from the 60's, 70's and 90's.
How about: Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck, Led Zeppelin, The Who, The Stones, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, Peter Gabriel, Nirvana, Sound Garden, Stone Temple Pilots, Days of the New, Bruce Cockburn, Joni Mitchell, Miles Davis, Glen Gould
