UPDATE I am in URGENT NEED of an accompanist with car. Could be a piano player or accordion player who lives in or near Peel Region, Ontario.

Even if it's just for short contracts so that I can book some gigs for us. I can't book the gigs when I have no accompanist!

Maybe you can join me for a week and a half at Halloween?

Or just for December for Christmas/Holiday shows?

I'm a well-established singer/entertainer with plenty of gigs to offer and I'm looking for a pianist or accordionist who lives near me in Peel Region, who would like to do gigs and wouldn't mind doing the driving as well.

I do not drive and I do not have a car.

I live in Malton, the Northern Part of Mississauga; right close to Brampton, Etobicoke, Rexdale and Vaughan.

Pianist/keyboard player must be able to work from lead sheets.

Pianist/keyboard player must be triple vaccinated for COVID with proof to get into seniors' homes and be willing to follow mask mandates in the homes, clubs and adult day centres.

Must be LGBTQ friendly!

Shows are one hour and in they are in the afternoons and evenings around the GTA.

I am making a serious effort to get gigs close to home to save us time, gas money and wear and tear on your car.

I perform for seniors in retirement homes, long term care homes, adult day centres, seniors' clubs and anywhere else seniors gather.

We present lively, fun, professional shows!

These are not concerts. They're shows with songs, jokes, costumes, decor, props and did I mention fun?

They do require a bit of set up so we must arrive at the gig approximately 1 hour before downbeat.

I'm getting bookings for 2023 so I need someone to do the gigs with.

I am interested, even if you would like to do a temporary arrangement.

This is a paid position. We usually get $162.50 each per gig, depending on the budgets of the seniors' home and how far the gig is from where we live. Sometimes there is $25 thrown in for gas.

Holiday pay is full price. I don't take gigs on holidays at a reduced fee.

We are one of the highest paid acts in the seniors' entertainment business in the GTA.

The reason this position is available is because my long time accompanist retired.

If you love to play, love to entertain and love an appreciative audience, this might be the job for you!

If you sing, act and/or play other instruments, all that variety and showmanship is certainly welcome! Variety entertainment is most welcome in my shows.
